First session: 10 September 2019, Brighton It’s lonely at the top. As a business leader you make decisions that can shape your future every day. How do you know you’re on the right path? Profitnet is a business growth programme developed by the University of Brighton that provides you with a group of peers – seasoned business leaders just like you – to bounce ideas off, share challenges and work out solutions, together.
Every business needs a strategy, particularly when you’re growing. At this workshop, you’ll get the opportunity to pause and reflect on what you and your business have achieved so far, and work out what you want to move forward with. Under the guidance of experienced business advisors, you’ll distil your business strategy onto one page using the BGI Strategy on a Page canvas. The end result will be clarity on your next steps and a crystal-clear plan that you can communicate easily to your team, stakeholders and investors.
During the session we will have a look at mental health and what we can do in the workplace to support people from surviving to thriving.
In business, sport and education high performers thrive on pressure. But no matter how good we are, have a threshold. Things can overwhelm us, and it’s hard to focus on anything at all let alone prioritise. It can feel like everything is beyond our control. In this short session we will cover some tools that can help you to deal with the pressures, stresses and challenges of everyday life. Helping you learn and improve some fundamental mental skills. This tried and tested formula called Red2Blue has helped people in the boardroom and the sports field stay on task and perform to the highest level. Red2Blue will help you think clearly, feel in control and perform under pressure providing the Structure, Skillset and Mindset that increase your threshold for pressure and allow you to perform at your best.
