Sector Forum Steering Group Committee Opportunities
As you may be aware Sussex Chamber of Commerce, in addition to providing services for its membership, also has a key influencing role for the wider business community.
To ensure we remain representative of the Sussex business community as a whole, the Chamber holds several sector specific forums within our events programme. We currently have very successful forums in: Construction, Global Trade and Manufacturing & Engineering and will be developing Digital Forums in 2020.
The aims of the forums are:
The forums provide:
➢ Opportunities for networking and information sharing
➢ Up to date sector news
➢ Sector initiatives and sources of business support.
The forums act as a positive voice for businesses on a regional basis by:
➢ Continuously promoting the region's capabilities to the wider world
➢ Lobby and represent business to both local and national government.
We want to ensure that the regional sector specific community has access to opportunities to innovate within their organisations in order to support growth.
The Sector Committees
The committees are limited to a maximum of 8 members. Members of the committees will be champions for their own sector and will be responsible for supporting the Chief Executive and Executive Team with the development and strategic ideas for the forums.
Candidate Criteria – Knowledge, Skills, Experience
All forums are held throughout Sussex.
All quarterly committee meetings are held at the Chamber offices in Burgess Hill or virtually.
