Ana has served as the CEO of Sussex Chamber of Commerce for over a decade, bringing a wealth of business experience from both the UK and international markets. Under her visionary leadership, Ana has been instrumental in expanding the Chamber, transforming it into the largest business organisation in Sussex. She has been a driving force behind regional economic growth, advocating for local businesses, and spearheading initiatives to enhance employment opportunities and skills development across the region. Ana’s strategic approach and deep commitment to the local economy have solidified Sussex Chamber’s role as a vital catalyst for business success and community prosperity.
Amanda Young
Amanda has been part of the Sussex Chamber of Commerce team for nearly five years and currently leads as Head of Membership. In this role, she oversees the membership team, providing strategic direction while ensuring members receive a high level of engagement, value, and support.
As part of the Chamber’s Executive Team, Amanda works closely with CEO Ana Christie to contribute to the strategic planning and ongoing development of Sussex Chamber, helping to shape its direction and impact across the region.
In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Amanda plays a key role in delivering the Chamber’s events and training programmes, as well as supporting marketing activity to strengthen the Chamber’s reach and visibility. She is passionate about building strong relationships across Sussex’s diverse business community and is committed to helping businesses connect, grow, and succeed both regionally and beyond.
Kara Grant
Kara is the Head of International Trade at Sussex Chamber, leads her team in managing export and customs operations with precision and expertise. She plays a pivotal role in supporting businesses as they navigate the challenges of Brexit and pursue global growth opportunities. Kara's leadership and deep understanding of international trade complexities ensure that the Chamber's members receive the guidance and support they need to thrive in an evolving global market.
Alison Watson
Alison serves as the Head of Administration & Finance at Sussex Chamber, where she has been a dedicated and indispensable team member for over 30 years. Her extensive experience and unwavering commitment have been critical to the Chamber's success. Alison’s expertise ensures the smooth operation of the Chamber’s internal processes, providing a solid foundation for its continued growth and effectiveness in serving the business community.
Lewis Knight
Lewis is the Creative, Digital Marketing & Media Executive at Sussex Chamber and has been a valued member of the team for nearly four years. With strong expertise in digital marketing, media, and content creation, he plays a key role in enhancing the Chamber’s visibility and engagement across its network.
Lewis leads on integrated marketing campaigns, digital content, and media activity, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across platforms. He also oversees the production of the Chamber’s Business Edge magazine, managing content to deliver engaging and informative publications.
From social media and video creation to PR and event coverage, Lewis brings a creative and data-driven approach to promoting the Chamber and its members. His work supports audience growth, strengthens engagement, and helps showcase the success of the Sussex business community.
Laura Winter
Laura is the Events & Member Engagement Executive at Sussex Chamber and has been an integral part of the membership team for two years. With a solid understanding of business membership and relationship management, she excels in supporting and engaging with the Chamber’s diverse range of businesses.
Laura plays a key role in planning, managing, and coordinating Chamber events, ensuring they run smoothly and deliver value to attendees. Her attention to detail and proactive approach help create engaging experiences that foster meaningful connections among members.
