On Thursday 12 December, we’re inviting everyone to wear their most fabulous, fun, and festive Christmas jumpers for our Christmas Jumper Day Fundraiser. But feel free to host your fundraiser whenever it fits your schedule.
Who can participate?
Anyone can! Gather your friends, school friends, family and colleagues and let’s create wonderful memories while making a meaningful impact.

How to get Involved on Christmas Jumper Day
1. Choose where you would like to wear your Christmas Jumper
Whether it is at school or at work pick a location to wear your Christmas jumper.
2. How would you like to fundraise
You could ask for £1 donations or do a festive fundraiser, the choice is yours!
3. Share the joy
Post pictures of your festive attire on social media with the hashtag #TeamRaystede and tag us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok.
4. Pay in your funds
When you have collected all contributions, send them over to us!
5. Be proud
A big “Thank You” to you and everyone that donated. You have made a real difference to the lives of the animals we care for.

Join #TeamRaystede and run the 2025 Brighton Half Marathon to help injured and unwanted animals in need!
Date: 2nd March 2025
The Brighton Half Marathon is back for its 35th year in 2025. Known as the “happiest half-marathon", you’ll run past Brighton Palace Pier, Hove’s colourful beach huts, the Royal Pavilion, and the iconic i360.
One of the first half-marathons of the calendar year, this is not one to be missed and the perfect way to shake off the winter blues!

Wing Walking challenge
Fly high with our Wing Walking challenge and help injured and unwanted animals in need.
Date: 14 June 2025
Location: Headcorn Aerodrome, Kent
As part of this challenge, you will get an exhilarating 10 minutes in the sky strapped safely to the wing of a plane. With breath-taking top speeds of 130mph and stunning views, nothing will bring you closer to the clouds than a wing walk!
Not for the faint of heart, this challenge is thrilling and extraordinary, but most importantly your support will help us to be there when the animals need us most.
Whether you sign up as an individual or as a team, we’ll be there to cheer you on and support you every step of the way, but you must be over 18 years of age and weigh less than 85kg to take on this exciting challenge.

Please contact us to arrange it, and we will drop it off to you. One day makes the world of difference. Find out how you can help us run our centre and educational days. Pick a day that is special to you or your organisation and raise enough money as a team to support all the animals in our care for 24 hours. Your day will be celebrated at Raystede, and you will receive a certificate to keep as a memento of your special day. We provide Family Learning Days at Raystede for adults and children to learn more about the responsibility of pet ownership and animal welfare. Learning is through talks, trails, films and activities, and these events take place throughout the year. We never charge so learning about animals is free to everyone. These are free pop-up Pet Advice sessions in the local community with our qualified dog behaviourists and Education Team on hand to answer your pet-related questions. As well as free and friendly advice, there are microchip and weight checks, information and leaflets to take away and even free poo bags! Volunteer with us
We have over 300 volunteers at Raystede all committed to giving animals a better life.
Their generosity and dedication allows Raystede to provide a caring environment for all our animals.
Our Raystede site can be a busy place and we do our very best to make sure that volunteering is rewarding and enjoyable. Whilst volunteering you will get to meet fellow volunteers and staff, learn new skills and play an active role in the work we do.
Volunteers must be over the age of 16 and, if volunteering onsite at Raystede, have access to their own transport. Volunteers aged between 16-17 years old will need a parent or guardian to sign your application form to say they are happy for you to come and volunteer with us.
