Go‑Slow Networking Morning
Join us for this “Go Slow” networking morning, where meaningful connections unfold at a relaxed pace — allowing for deeper conversations and stronger relationships than traditional speed networking.
To kick things off, we’ve introduced a new Networking Challenge during registration — designed to break the ice, get conversations flowing early, and ensure there’s no awkward waiting around.
Hosted by Amanda Young, your enthusiastic Network Master of Ceremonies, the session will begin with a warm welcome and a brief update on the latest Sussex Chamber member news and upcoming events.
How it works:
The room is arranged with an inner circle of delegates who remain seated, while the larger outer circle rotates to meet each person one-to-one. You’ll have 4 minutes each to introduce yourselves, making a total of 8 minutes per pair. This slower pace gives you time to genuinely engage and start building stronger relationships, no rushing, no pressure.
The outer circle moves clockwise to meet the next delegate, ensuring you get to speak with everyone in the room. It’s networking reimagined to be inclusive and approachable, perfect for those who find traditional speed networking intimidating.
