Richard Dow is a Technical Consultant at BHESCo (Brighton and Hove Energy Services Co-op), where he supports businesses and organisations with decarbonisation planning, renewable energy feasibility studies and the delivery of low-carbon energy projects. He works closely with commercial organisations to identify practical opportunities for reducing energy consumption, lowering costs and achieving sustainability goals through technologies such as solar PV, battery storage and heat pumps.
A Chartered Civil Engineer with over a decade of engineering experience, Richard previously held senior engineering roles at Southern Water and Thames Water before moving into the renewable energy sector. He combines extensive infrastructure and project management expertise with specialist knowledge gained through an MSc in Smart Energy and the Built Environment from University College London (UCL).
At BHESCo, Richard helps businesses navigate the practicalities of energy decarbonisation, providing clear, evidence-based advice that enables organisations to make informed decisions about renewable technologies, energy efficiency improvements and future regulatory requirements
