Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Field KVRM and Deputy Chairman, CPJ Field & Co Ltd, British Army and CPJ Field & Co Ltd
Colonel Charlie Field is a distinguished British Army Reserve officer and senior executive in the funeral profession. In recognition of his exemplary service, he was awarded the King’s Volunteer Reserves Medal (KVRM) in the 2024 King’s Birthday Honours.
Charlie began his military career in 2000 with the University Officer Training Corps before commissioning into the Royal Yeomanry, the Army’s largest light cavalry reserve regiment. He has extensive operational experience, including leading soldiers on deployment in Iraq in 2004, and went on to serve as Commanding Officer of the Royal Yeomanry. His leadership has also extended to high-profile ceremonial duties, including leading the regiment’s contingent in the procession for the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Alongside his military career, Charlie is Deputy Chairman of CPJ Field & Co Ltd, a long-established, family-run funeral business serving communities across Southern England. He successfully balances his responsibilities in both civilian and military roles, bringing leadership, resilience and a strong commitment to service into all aspects of his work.
Charlie is passionate about supporting the Armed Forces community and championing the value that reservists bring to businesses and society.

Book a 1:1 appointment with our parent peer support team or drop in to our hub on the high street. Connect and chat with other local parents at our coffee mornings and workshops.
Hansa has 20 years of experience in cancer nursing both at a clinical level and strategic level. She also has experience in the charity sector having held the position of Operations Manager at Eastbourne Foodbank. Having spent all her career in the NHS Hansa has always had a passion for helping others and making a difference. Previous trustee and Vice Chair for TAMBA (Twins & Multiple Births Association)
Hansa has 3 children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and walking along the coast.

Leigh Thomas brings a wealth of experience to his role, combining his Regular Army service, operational management expertise, and 12 years of owning an events business. He thrives as a connector between the private and public sectors and Defence, leveraging his skills to build strong relationships and plan impactful events.
Working alongside an exceptional team with a high degree of freedom and flexibility, Leigh is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of Service personnel, Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers, and Veterans. His passion for fostering meaningful connections and delivering results is evident in everything he does.

Head of Membership, Events & Training, Sussex Chamber of Commerce
Amanda has served as the Head of Membership at Sussex Chamber for over three years, where she leads the membership team with dedication and strategic vision. Alongside her leadership duties, she also oversees the planning and execution of the Chamber's events and training programmes. Amanda is deeply committed to engaging with the Chamber's diverse business community and is passionate about fostering strong relationships to support the growth and success of businesses across Sussex.
