Future Fit – how to improve productivity – a series of free webinars to improve your business efficiencies:

Kickstart scheme – the scheme is designed to create high quality, 6 month work placements for young people aged 16-24 who are claiming universal credit. Funding is available to support these placements with 100% of the national minimum wage for 25 hours per week, plus associated National Insurance contributions and pension. In addition £1,500 is available to support and train the young person. To apply for up to 30 placements please visit the Kickstart scheme on the Sussex Chamber of Commerce website, the Chamber of Commerce are offering this service to all businesses whether they are a Chamber member or not. If you are looking at more than 30 placements you can apply directly.
Test and Trace – it is now mandatory for certain businesses to have a system to collect NHS Test and Trace data and keep this for 21 days – for more information visit the Wealden District Council website.
Do you or your staff use the cuckoo trail to get to work? – Wealden District Council are trying to better understand who visits the Cuckoo Trail and how user experience can be improved, this includes those using the trail to commute to and from work. If you have used the trail in the last 2 years please help us by completing this short survey.
Digital Skills Partnership - The Digital Skills Partnership from the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) has partnered with Coursera to provide free, online learning resources to 10,000 users across the South East. Courses include cyber security, marketing, web development and business skills. Find out more on SELEP website
Stand out from the crowd with Care qualifications at East Sussex College - over the next 12 months East Sussex College is committing £1m to specifically help local communities recover from the Covid-19 crisis. Across Sussex this pledge is supporting the employed, unemployed and volunteers to access fully funded, online courses and qualifications, which are highly valued by employers. Attending a free course will ensure that your teams are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours to grow your business. Topics include mental health, prevention and control of infection, dementia care, nutrition and health any many others. Information on courses and enrolment.
Workplace health and wellbeing – East Sussex County Council need your help in developing their support offer for employers around health and wellbeing initiatives in the workplace. Please help to inform their future services by completing a short survey, deadline is 15th October.
