Ashdown Park Hotel announces 2019 charity partner
Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club will begin its partnership with new chosen charity, Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, at a Ladies Luncheon event on Monday, 21 January 2019.
Following a successful 2017 and 2018 collecting over £1,900 in charitable funds for local Chestnut Tree House Hospice, Ashdown Park has chosen to support another local charity, the Queen Victoria Hospital Trust, in 2019.
Based in East Grinstead, the Queen Victoria Hospital is a specialist NHS hospital providing life-changing reconstructive surgery, burns care and rehabilitation services for people across the South of England. Since World War II, the hospital has been renowned for its pioneering work and developments in this specialist area as well as funding important medical research projects and initiatives to further enhance patients’ recovery.
Throughout 2019, Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club will host fund-raising events for the charity at the Wych Cross property. The first, January’s Ladies Luncheon, will be hosted by Camilla Slattery, who will introduce the Queen Victoria Hospital Trust Charity and the hospital’s medical director and consultant anaesthetist, Dr Ed Pickles, who will give a talk about the renowned history and provide some insight into the life-changing care the hospital carries out today.
The inspiring event will begin at 12pm on Monday 21 January with a welcome glass of Prosecco or freshly-squeezed juice as raffle tickets are sold, before the special hosts take to the floor. Following the talk, guests will be seated ready to enjoy a delicious three-course meal with a glass of wine, the menu includes leek and blue cheese tart, chicken and Parma ham pie and apple and salted caramel crumble tart, complete with coffee and petit fours.
General Manager at Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club, Ben Booker, commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Camilla and Dr Ed Pickles from the amazing Queen Victoria Hospital Trust to Ashdown Park, and cannot wait to hear all about the life-changing ways our fund-raising will help patients.”
Tickets are £37.50 per person and raffle tickets are £5 each. Please contact Sarah Floyd on 01342 824988, for more information or to book.
