As part of the development of the next Sussex Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) for 2026–2029, we’re hosting an interactive consultation workshop for organisations involved across Sussex’s skills, education and employment system.
The session will share early intelligence from recent employer sector workshops, providing insight into the skills needs businesses are identifying across Sussex. Attendees will be invited to reflect on these findings and contribute their own insights from a provider and stakeholder perspective, helping to build a well-rounded understanding of how the local skills system is responding to current and emerging needs.
The workshop will also feature a dedicated session led by the Universities of Sussex, Brighton and Chichester, focusing on the Civic University Agreement. This session will explore the role of universities in supporting skills for the region, showcase current collaborative initiatives across the three institutions, and encourage open discussion on future opportunities to work together in support of the LSIP.
The event is relevant for FE and HE providers, independent training providers, local authorities, careers and employability organisations, DWP and Jobcentre Plus, sector bodies and wider partners involved in skills planning and delivery across Sussex.
If you’re shaping skills, education, careers or employment in Sussex, this session offers an opportunity to hear the latest employer intelligence and share your perspective.
