Sussex Pop Up Shop Feeds Parliament
Entrepreneur Einat Chalmers comes from a Mediterranean food producing family with a lifelong connection to baking and traditional food making. She and husband Gary employ 30 staff in Sussex, supplying online and direct across the UK. Their unique high fibre anti-inflammatory olive oil recipes avoid high fats, additives and preservatives using traditional artisan baking techniques. Their craft foods support gut health, reduce chronic inflammation and improve balanced diet wellbeing. Einat says “we donate to the local food bank and train apprentices to create traditional bakers for the next generation. Our staff are as passionate as we are about our pittas, dips, and pastries, and we all share our like-minded enthusiasm to give our customers the best in the UK”
Brighton based Clive Bonny, an active supporter in the All Party Parliamentary Group for Entrepreneurs, has been working with Mamoosh for 6 months and his family members are hoteliers and caterers. Clive says “Mamoosh has created exceptional healthy food at affordable prices in a cost of living crisis. This event in Parliament shows how good food brings together different parties and diverse people round the same table. Einat is an excellent role model for female founders who have come to the UK from abroad. The latest report for UK policymakers from The Entrepreneurs Network identifies 54% of founders in the fastest growing UK businesses were born abroad. We need to give these hard-working innovators and employers the credit they deserve”
