A string of new contract wins and period of intense growth has led Worthing Coaches to launch a recruitment drive in the area.
The firm is on the hunt for drivers to join its expanding team, with training available to those who are new to the profession.
Managing director Tony Lawman says the growth of Worthing Coaches’ parent company, Lucketts Group, has played a significant part in the decision to recruit more drivers in the area.
He said: “We set out our ambitious growth plans just over a year ago and the coming months are when we’ll really be seeing the fruits of our labour coming through. Add to this the fact we’ve secured several major new contracts in Worthing and you can see how demand for drivers is high.
“As a result, we’re looking to recruit a large number of drivers to add to our growing team. There will be opportunities for newcomers to coach driving, as well as experienced PCV licence holders.”
Those who don’t yet have the special PCV licence needed for driving coaches will get expert training through the Lucketts Driver Academy to work towards their qualification. Tony explains: “Being a Worthing Coaches driver is about so much more than being able to drive a coach. Our customers expect the excellent customer service we’re famed for so we’ll be looking just as much for personal skills as past experience.”
Those who make it through the recruitment process can expect the unique perks that come with working for Worthing Coaches. There will be the chance to see new places through varied work and ongoing training to develop in their careers.
The company also offers a range of staff benefits, like access to the Perkbox discount scheme and free enrolment in the Travel Benevolent Fund.
