Burgess Hill based, Eco-Friendly Cleaning Chemicals Manufacturer, Bio-Productions has been shortlisted in ten categories for the prestigious BHBiz Awards 2019.
The company, led by MD and local business advocate Angela Gill, is in the final three for the following categories:
Winning Workplace |Eco Warrior |Community Champion |Charity Champion |Rising Star |Risen Star |New Star |Star Apprentice |Team of Stars |Best Business
This year sees the second BHBiz Awards, which will take place at Brighton Amex Community Stadium on 10 May. This biennial event, debuted in 2017 with much fanfare. The BHBiz Awards is an award ceremony with a difference; it isn’t just about profits and order books – but the people behind them. Across 12 categories (4 new ones for 2019), judges will recognise the achievements of employees at all levels for their contribution to the workplace and their community.
Bio-Productions formulates, tests and makes a range of award-winning, environmentally-friendly, industrial cleaning products which are exported around the world. In December 2014 a management buyout by three employees led to both UK and international success.
MD Angela Gill is a member of the Burgess Hill Business Parks Steering Group and has spoken at a variety of business events on the important role of women in business, including at Burgess Hill Means Business last year when she shared a platform with Rosemary French of the Gatwick Diamond Initiative. As an advocate of women in industry, Bio-Productions makes a direct contribution to the Gatwick Diamond economy via a £4 million turnover in Mid Sussex and by employing 37 local staff – who the management team regards as an extended family. She said, “We are thrilled to be shortlisted in these ten important categories. It’s a direct result of our amazing team effort here at Burgess Hill. She went on to say, “I’m proud that, across the company, we had so many reasons to enter and stories to tell. We’re delighted that our hard work, innovation and commitment have paid off with this amazing result. We are all looking forward to the ceremony!”
