Rap Star Emily Receives Unsung Hero Award

Rap Interiors Operations Manager Emily Barton recently celebrated winning an “Unsung Hero” award courtesy of Family Business Place. Emily was nominated by Julie Anderson, Rap Interiors Design Director, for the hard work and positive attitude she has consistently displayed in her challenging role.

To celebrate Emily’s fantastic achievement, the Rap Interiors team was invited to a lavish ceremony at Squerryes Winery in Westerham, Kent. Emily was among 12 other “Unsung Heroes” that picked up award on the night, with each saying a few words on stage.

Emily says: “I am delighted to win this award and would like to thank Rick and Julie Anderson for giving me the chance to work for a great company like Rap Interiors. It’s certainly given me more incentive to carry on working hard and help the company to enjoy more success.”

Julie says: “Emily always goes about her business with a can-do mentality, and that’s something we really admire about her. She is always on hand to help out the team and always manages to find the answer we’re looking for. If anyone deserves this award it’s our operations star Emily – where would we be without her?!”

Emily joined interior fit out company Rap Interiors in 2013, starting off in a marketing role. Over time, she has progressed into the role of Operations Manager after her organisational and problem solving skills became apparent.

The award was created by Family Business Place, which provides a platform where family-owned businesses can meet, share and learn from each other. Its mission is to help family-owned businesses to thrive for generations to come.
