The BMI Goring Hall team have worked very hard to meet all the requirements to be awarded JAG accreditation this year. Patients from the West Sussex community can now benefit from the highest standard for care and quality for investigations associated with the digestive system.
JAG is the Joint Advisory Group on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. An Endoscopy is a procedure used to investigate problems in the stomach and digestive system. JAG is based at the Royal College of Physicians of London. Aligned closely with the Care Quality Commission, JAG Accreditation standards are centred on patient experience, clinical quality, workforce and training. This accreditation reflects the high standard of service that is provided to our patients.
Consultant General Surgeon Mr Khurrum Baig said “This is a great achievement for the hospital, and I would like to thank the team for the hard work they’ve put in to meet these requirements”
Patients in West Sussex and beyond can be assured that they will receive the highest standard of care and quality when they come to BMI Goring Hall Hospital for bowel treatment.
Executive director Nichola Evans said “I’m really proud of my team for everything they’ve done to achieve this accreditation, I know it hasn’t been easy and has been a long process, but the hard work has now paid off.”
