Set in the heart of the Sussex countryside, just 45 minutes out of the city, Bolney Wine Estate is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. Acres of beautiful vines roll across the hills and are home to Bolney’s award-winning range of still and sparkling English wines.

With stunning views to the South Downs and an abundance of wildlife all around, guests can discover where eight varieties of grapes (including Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) are grown and find out how the family-run estate makes some of its finest wines. In the morning, roe deer can be spotted slinking between the vines while in the summer afternoons the dragonflies come out.

After exploring the vines, guests can visit the state-of-the-art winery - which is fascinating even for non-drinkers - and the tasting room to experience the fun of sampling. The Eighteen Acre Café has a stunning viewing balcony overlooking the ripening vines. This is the place to really appreciate the setting with a glass of wine in hand and some delicious locally sourced food.

Sam Linter, Managing Director and Head Winemaker at Bolney Wine Estate said: “We are incredibly lucky to be able to create great wine in such beautiful surroundings and we’ve worked really hard to create a space that is a haven of peace and tranquillity in the Sussex countryside. It the Sussex mild climate and south facing slopes that make our wine so special and enable us to create award-winning vintages.”

Bolney Wine Estate has been guided by nature since the first vines were planted in 1972. The estate has roots firmly planted in the local community and continues to forge and shape the burgeoning English Wine industry with grapes grown and hand-crafted into award-winning varietal wines at the 104-acre vineyard.
