The recognition highlights the growing role of Sussex businesses in developing practical, industry-focused AI solutions with international impact. Eventflow, a Sussex-based event operations software company supporting organisers across the globe, has been shortlisted for Eventflow AI, its new AI-powered assistant designed to improve exhibitor support and reduce repetitive enquiries for event teams.

Eventflow AI acts as a 24/7 first-line support assistant for exhibitors. Instead of searching through a static exhibitor manual or emailing the organiser, exhibitors can ask questions in natural language and receive instant answers based on the information uploaded for their specific event.

Common questions might include “How can I order power?”, “Where are the marketing assets?” or “What are the build-up timings?”. Eventflow AI then provides a clear answer and links users directly to the relevant information, task or resource within the platform.

The assistant has been designed specifically for event operations teams, where support is often handled by small teams managing large numbers of exhibitors under time pressure. By reducing the volume of repetitive questions, Eventflow AI helps organisers save time, improve response speeds and focus more of their attention on delivering successful events.

Unlike generic chatbots, Eventflow AI only uses data from the specific event it is supporting. This means responses are relevant, secure and based on organiser-approved information. If the answer is not available in the event content, the assistant explains this and directs the exhibitor to contact the organiser.

Early results show strong adoption. Within weeks of launch, Eventflow AI handled more than 1,600 exhibitor questions across over 800 conversations, reducing response times from hours or days to instant answers.

Christian Skelton, Co-Founder of Eventflow, said:

“We’re proud to see Eventflow AI recognised by the Event Technology Awards, especially as a Sussex-based business building technology for organisers across the UK and internationally.

“Event teams are under constant pressure, and a huge amount of their time is spent answering the same questions again and again. Eventflow AI changes that by turning the traditional exhibitor manual into something exhibitors can actually ask questions of.

“For us, this is about using AI in a practical, focused way: helping organisers work more efficiently, improving the exhibitor experience and giving event teams more time to focus on delivering great events.”

Eventflow AI is already being used by major events, including the Goodwood Festival of Speed and The BIBA Conference, where the feature was described as a “landmark update” for helping exhibitors find answers more quickly.

The Event Technology Awards: AI Edition ceremony will take place on 24 June 2026 at The Ministry – The White Space in London.
