Firstly, we have some sad news to share with you. Gregory Peck, our much-loved turkey, recently passed away. He died of natural causes after enjoying the warm summer weather in his final days. Greg arrived at Raystede in 2015 after being found wandering down a street in Dorset by the RSPCA and for more than 11 years, Greg was a treasured member of the Raystede family. Full of personality, he loved patrolling his enclosure, showing off his beautiful glossy feathers and dancing for his lady turkey friends, Ivy and Maple.
He brought smiles to countless visitors, volunteers, staff and sponsors and we are so grateful to everyone who helped give him a safe, happy and love-filled retirement. We will all miss you very much, Greg. 💚🌈
Megara the dog’s happy new home! 🐶 We're delighted to share that Megara has found a loving home after just 8 days in Raystede’s care! We're so pleased to hear how well Megara is doing and wish her and her family many happy years together. ❤️
Could you give Stanley a forever home? 🏡💖 Stanley French Bulldog 1 year, 1 month Stanley is a fun-loving boy who is full of character! He can be a little excitable at times, but with the right guidance he'll make a brilliant companion. He loves spending time with his people and enjoys plenty of play and enrichment. Needs: 🐾Adult only home or sensible teenagers 🐾 Consistent positive training and boundaries 🐾 Secure garden to play, sniff and explore.
