Kiddie Capers Childcare have been awarded Strong Standard at their recent Ofsted inspection.

The Ofsted report shares the inspector’s findings on the key areas including safeguarding, curriculum, achievement, behaviour, wellbeing, inclusion and leadership.The inspector noted how the staff are excellent role models who are skilled at working with the youngest children and have a fun-loving demeanour that has a real positive impact in the setting. It was also noted how gentle and loving the team are and how the children regularly go to them for cuddles and reassurance. The children thrive at this extremely nurturing setting.

A key part of any Ofsted inspection is hearing from the families who attend. They shared how they have ‘peace of mind’ when they hand their children over to such professional and responsive staff and really appreciate the consistent daily updates of what the children have been learning throughout the day.

The inspector also noted that ‘Babies squeal with joy and crawl to the next activity with the knowledge that something exciting is about to happen’ and that ‘Children delight in the praise they receive as staff celebrate their achievements. For example, when they put on their shoes for the first time or use cutlery to feed themselves’.

Emily Scott, Senior Manager at Kiddie Capers Childcare who oversees all nurseries within the Hassocks Hub, said ‘The team at Little Hassocks are incredibly passionate about what they do and this shone through in our recent inspection. I’m so proud that this has been recognised by Ofsted and that we have been awarded ‘Strong Standard’ in all areas.’

Once children reach the age of 2, children transition to one of their other settings within Hassocks, depending on whether they require all year round or term-time only care.
