What values and benefits are Sussex organisations looking to create in the pursuit of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050?
At the University of Sussex we are mapping the benefits and values that organisations in the Sussex region are looking to create as they transition to Net Zero. This mapping process includes all types of organisations from local authorities and large businesses to small and medium enterprises, NGOs and community organisations. This process includes two components: a short survey which takes 10 minutes to complete and can be accessed HERE and a follow up online workshop.
Results will be made available to all organisations in Sussex and used to help the development of local decarbonisation plans and projects. We believe that this mapping process can also greatly help the development of future partnerships in Sussex around achieving Net Zero.
We would like to invite businesses, start-ups, community interest companies, local government, utilities, social and community groups and organisations across Sussex to take part in the survey and the follow up workshop. The more stakeholders take part in the survey, the more valuable the results for everyone. The survey will be open until 18th June 2021.
The workshop will take place on the 14th June 2021 at 10:00 – 11:30 am via Zoom and will ask participants to discuss about how and why they prioritise economic, social and environmental values associated with achieving Net Zero. Please register for the workshop HERE. You can register for the workshop even if you have not completed the survey, however we would be grateful if you do both. You can also indicate your interest in taking part in the workshop through the last question of the survey.
If you have any questions about the survey, the workshop or the value mapping process, please get it touch at: Dr. Ralitsa Hiteva at [email protected] and/or Franco Gonzalez at [email protected].
