A West Sussex law firm is entering 2022 with strong momentum, its joint managing partner has told Insider.

Headquartered in Horsham, Lewis Denley was set up in 2017 by Natasha Lewis and Colin Secomb.

Looking back on 2021, Secomb told Insider that the firm has had a "very busy year".

"We opened our new family department and have been very busy on the property side, which was driven in a large part by the stamp duty holiday," he said. "We've grown our team in response to client demand too, with eight new people coming on board this year."

Secomb added that the firm has "a lot of momentum" for 2022 after a strong end to 2021.

"We hope to keep that going throughout next year. We plan to launch new services including private client and are aiming for more growth in our corporate services, commercial property and family practices."

As for what a good 2022 would like, Denley believes setting up a private client department would be a strong move.

"We feel that the demand from clients is there, but the only thing that is holding us back is recruiting the right people.

"The legal recruitment market is very competitive at the moment, but we are hopeful that the culture and the way we approach legal services at Lewis Denley will continue to help us attract the best legal talent."
