Three young associates join Carpenter Box in Brighton and Lewes as it welcomes 20 new starters through its associate and placement programmes
Leading south east accountancy firm, Carpenter Box part of the Sumer Group, has welcomed 20 new starters this September. 18 newly appointed associates and two placement year students join a growing community of 68 associates across the firm’s offices in Worthing, Crawley, Brighton, Chichester, Lewes and Portsmouth, now making up more than 22% of the overall workforce.
The Brighton office has welcomed two new associates. Sebastian Streeter has joined the Accounting and Business Advisory Services team and will pursue the ACA qualification after graduating from the University of Sussex. Alongside him, Tobias Mann has joined the firm’s specialist StarBox team and will also be studying towards the ACA qualification. Joining the Lewes office from college in the Accounting and Business Advisory Services team is Megan Partridge.
The associates will work towards a range of respected professional qualifications. Eleven have chosen to study for the ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification, three will follow the ATT/CTA joint pathway, another three studying AAT and one pursuing the ACA/CTA joint pathway.
Carpenter Box is particularly pleased that a number of this year’s associate cohort attended the firm’s annual Open Evening last winter, demonstrating the value of the event to budding accountants.
This year’s intake brings a wide range of skills and perspectives to Carpenter Box, strengthening teams across its offices. Director, Andrew Le Fevre, commented: “We are so pleased to welcome each of our new associates and starters and look forward to helping them develop their knowledge, gain valuable experience and build successful careers in accountancy, audit and tax. We are strongly committed to finding and developing young talented people as they will be the leaders of the future. We wish them every success as they begin their journey with Carpenter Box.”
