Summer fun as Play Days on Tour and Skatefests return
The hugely popular Mid Sussex Play Days are going on tour for 2021, bringing FREE fun and entertainment to villages and towns across the district.
Organising large scale events has been difficult this year, so instead of the big Play Days the team are taking some of the fun on tour with smaller but more frequent events. Play Days on Tour will take place from 1-3pm at the following locations.
Tue 27th July Adastra Park, Hassocks BN6 8QH
Tue 3rd August Court Bushes, Hurstpierpoint BN6 9TH
Thu 5th August Worlds End Rec, Burgess Hill RH15 0QJ
Wed 11th August Bentswood, Haywards Heath RH16 3QN
Thu 12th August Ashenground Community Centre, Haywards Heath RH16 4JR
Tue 17th August Whiteman’s Green, Cuckfield RH16 4JR

Wed 25th August Rec by The Haven Centre, Crawley Down, RH10 4LJ
Thu 26th August John Pears Field, Ashurst Wood RH19 3TQ.
The days will have a mix of arts and crafts, games, circus skills and music to help get the summer going! Local groups and organisations will be joining in the fun which may include a 6-hole golf course, coaching in basketball, cricket, tennis and rugby, a chance to get fit with Pop Steps and street dance, some puppet visits and lots more! The details of each day will be posted on www.midsussex.gov.uk/playdays beforehand.
Also returning are the popular Skatefest events, with DJ-ing and mixing, t-shirt design workshops and bike maintenance against a background of BMX and skateboard skills.

Wed 18th August Victoria Park, Haywards Heath
Tue 24th August King George’s Field, East Grinstead
“The long-awaited summer has arrived, but we are returning cautiously and with some adjustment to our popular summer events programme,” said Councillor Norman Webster, Cabinet Member for Community. “We have arranged some smaller events in communities and our Skatefest events will also make a welcome return. It will be great to see everyone enjoying themselves in a safe and responsible way.”
