MacConvilles Surveying is delighted to announce that they have won the 2019 Brighton and Hove Business award for Professional Services. Presented at the 14th Business Awards on the 25th July, this accolade was given for strong management, financial status and ethical profile.
As MacConvilles enters its 81st year in the industry, they are able to add this award to their ever-growing trophy cabinet. While over half of small businesses fail to survive four years in the entrepreneurial world, according to smallbiztrends.com, MacConvilles has bucked the trend, thriving despite all the obstacles that have been thrown in its way and without having to resort to any large take-over bids. Competition is high, with an estimated 80 new companies being created every hour in 2016, according to Start-Up Britain, but the traditional values and honest approach from MacConvilles has ensured it has been able to maintain a healthy profit year-on-year.
Providing services to both the public and private sector, the Brighton-based firm offers quantity surveying support, as well as building surveying, project management, expert witness, sustainability, party wall awards and CDM advice. The client scope is large, targeting education, healthcare, housing, industrial, office and leisure sectors and covering the whole of London and the south-east. Over 80% of work is from repeat business, showing the importance of customer service in the building industry.
As the business ages, changes must come into place. One senior director will soon be retiring, and taking his place will be trusted and capable new blood, with the drive required to keep boosting business and help drive growth. Rather than pushing to offer the cheapest quote, they will continue to focus on providing the highest-quality work, so that the customer truly receives the best value for their money.
