Speakers - Ian Pickard  & Jason Wickenden - Sussex Wellness Action Group

Ian and Jason will give a brief introduction and the ambitions of SWAG with the objective of engendering active support for ensuring good mental health and wellbeing across Sussex, whilst breaking down the associated stigma.

Why should you watch the whole event?

To make people aware that within the Construction Industry two individuals are committing suicide each day – this must STOP! By educating people to spot the early signs, we can reduce the number of men taking their own lives.

Everyone has mental health, and we need to provide a positive environment to afford everyone the opportunity to ensure it is the best mental health that they can achieve. We can all support each other through a consistent approach to mental health and wellbeing, where an individual who is suffering can seek help from a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) within their own organisation or another, so removing the possible fear of discrimination or reprisal from an employer.
