The breakfast was an opportunity for people from local businesses to come together whilst learning more about the work of the charity, which cares for local children with life-shortening conditions and their families. Speaking at the event, Chestnut Tree House’s Interim CEO Rosemarie Finley said “local businesses are so important in helping us help local children and families.  It is with their support that we have grown as a hospice, caring for only 30 children over 15 years ago, to now caring for over 300 families.”

The regional sales executive for Rathfinny, Richard James, also spoke to attendees about the wine estate. He talked about the 600 acres of land they have and the different types of sparkling and still wines they produce. He also mentioned their strong connections to the local community, ensuring that their buildings were designed, planned and built by local firms, they employ local people and source food for their restaurant locally.

Chestnut Tree House hosts networking breakfasts throughout the year. The next event is taking place on Wednesday 16 October at Bolney Wine Estate in Haywards Heath, Sussex. You can contact [email protected] to book.
