Bio-Productions and DaSH JFC Team Up to Make the Perfect Match
Green manufacturer Bio-Productions, based on the Victoria estate in Burgess Hill, has been announced as a Major Sponsor of the Denton & South Heighton (DaSH) Junior Football Club Under14s, for the current season (2019/20).
The idea was first pitched to them by Simon Easton, Lead Chemist at Bio-Productions, whose son plays for the team.
The DaSH Under14s squad were undefeated last season (2018/19) only failing to claim all three points on one occasion. Following on from its high-flying success the squad has had to dig deep this season after an early blow to the team psyche, which saw both the departure of its much-loved captain as well as the team’s top goal-scorer, who was offered a place with the Chelsea FC Academy. Added to that, a string of ongoing injuries has seen the team diminished to less than eleven on the pitch on several occasions. However the squad has pulled itself up by the bootstraps and are now in the running for a place in the league.
MD, Angela Gill and HR Manager, Sara Gibb are both keen fitness enthusiasts and community-minded, so sponsoring the youth team offered the ideal fit. The project combines the message of how important it is to incorporate health and fitness into the lifestyle of young people and showcases Bio-Productions commitment to supporting community fitness.
It’s the first time that Bio-Productions has sponsored anything so this may well kick-start the principle for future projects with like-minded aims. HR Manager, Sara Gibb explains, “We are so passionate about investing in the community at our company so the opportunity to back a grass roots football team was perfect. We were able to pay for high quality shirts for the team branded with our logo, which means we get to advertise our brand week after week – definitely a win-win bonus!”
