Urgent appeal to Sussex businesses for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
The Sussex Resilience Forum, which brings together public service agencies in responding to Covid-19 is appealing to businesses for vital PPE supplies to protect frontline workers delivering front line services. Job Retention Scheme
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme is open for applications today. Employers can now claim online for a grant for 80% of their furloughed employees’ salaries, up to a maximum of £2,500 per employee, click here to apply. Step by step guidance is available on the .gov website along with a calculator to help you work out your claim. The Chancellor has also announced a one month extension to the scheme, which means the scheme will now be open until the end of June.
Climate Launchpad Applications Open for England's Green Firms
Climate Launchpad will help eligible entrepreneurs based in England (and Scotland) to transform their green business ideas into business start-ups. The Launchpad is the world’s largest cleantech business idea competition for the purpose of turning green concepts and innovations into businesses with the potential to make an environmental impact.
Bids are for up to €10,000 and the deadline is the 11th June 2020. The process includes three steps including a 2 day boot camp, intensive coaching and Global Grand Final.
