Join us for our first face to face Manufacturing & Engineering Forum, on site at Ricardo in Shoreham. Ricardo are a global strategic engineering and environmental consultancy that specialises in the transport, energy and scarce resources sectors.

Ricardo is leading a consortium of internationally renowned universities and research institutes to deliver a £5m research programme as the UK Government steps up efforts to prepare and protect against the impacts of climate change. The data and analysis carried out by specialists from Ricardo and its partners will inform the UK’s strategy to mitigate the effects from soaring temperatures in our homes to resilience of UK critical energy infrastructure and enhance ambition to curb emissions and adapt to climate change globally.

Sussex Chamber AGM & Our Priorities

Florence will discuss recent economic and financial developments and the Bank of England’s outlook for UK growth and CPI inflation over the next few years. She will answer any questions people may have on this and the Bank of England more widely.

Mental Health & Wellbeing

We are delighted to be able to introduce you to our mental health service that helps businesses in the management of employee mental health. Our digital platform, helps your business to address mental health issues effectively and evidence the steps you are taking in this area. There is a range of courses, resources and support tools which can be accessed 24 hours a day on any device or browser.

Why it’s important

One in four – Mental health problems are believed to affect around one in four people each year in the UK. That means that around 16 million people in the UK will experience a mental health problem.

Stigma still exists – Although our society is making strides in combatting stigma, it unfortunately still exists. In fact, 51% of young people believe that anyone their age diagnosed with a mental health problem would be embarrassed.

800,000 Every year – The World Health Organisation reports that close to 800,000 people die by suicide worldwide every year. Furthermore, for each suicide, there are more than 20 suicide attempts.
