Mike runs a fast-growing financial planning business with offices in the City as well as on the South Coast (Eastbourne). Global Wealthmap (GWM) is a modern and innovative firm with a very clear value proposition, aiming to provide a high value service to professionals in the UK, as well as those with a global footprint but with a link to the UK.
Mike is a Chartered Financial Planner in his own right, and heads up the training at the company. GWM recruits a number of trainees each year, preferably school leavers or graduates who live locally in Sussex but wish to work for a City firm without necessarily having to move there.
As an Economist Mike has a passion for making sure his clients can make good decisions in a complicated world. He applies a pragmatic, evidence-based approach, to both planning and investment management, with a preference for low-cost and simple solutions.
Outside of work Mike sits on the East Sussex economic growth board, Team East Sussex (TES) which seeks to promote economic growth and increased productivity in the region. He also sits on the Eastbourne College committee as the business liaison, encouraging greater collaboration between the College and the town of Eastbourne and Sussex as a whole.
