Introduction to Supervision

Transitioning from an operational role to a supervisory or Team leader role can be one of the most difficult things you can do. You are no longer responsible for just your own performance but also now of others. How do you lead those who were yesterday your ‘mates’ and today now work with you; or people who are older and more experienced than you.

This course will support supervisors, both new and experienced who have made that first step into management, to focus on how to successfully lead their teams (rather than just keeping their hands down and trying to do most of the work themselves).

Give existing and newly promoted team leaders and supervisors the confidence to transition from an operational to a more managerial role.

At the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  • understand how the supervisor role adds value to your company
  • have greater confidence in knowing how to carry out your supervision role
  • identify the key roles and responsibilities of a supervisor
  • identify you’re your leadership style and understand how to flex it to various circumstances
  • increase your choices how to motivate people
  • apply an effective delegation process
