Classification of Goods Using Commodity & Tariff Codes

This half day seminar will consider the terminology used and the structure of the Harmonised System, Commodity and Tariff codes. It will examine the General Interpretative Rules that are used for classification and the tools and resources available to assist in the establishment of the most appropriate code.

All staff involved with international trade - Sales, Purchasing, shipping, exporting staff, importing staff, management at all levels, logistics, freight forwarders should attend this training course.
 
We will then look briefly at the International Trade procedures related to tariff and commodity codes and highlight the necessity and benefits of using the most appropriate codes. It will also consider the difference between coding systems in use in other countries and how different code can be correlated

Where possible, the seminar will have live access to The Tariff, enabling the trainer to demonstrate the methodology. We will use real examples where possible.
