What Is The Manufacturing Growth Programme?

The Manufacturing Growth Programme is the UKs largest and leading business support programme aimed at making improvements to manufacturing SMEs. It is a £9.7m ERDF funded programme that delivers across 15 LEP areas.


The programme will deliver over 3400 improvement projects and create over 4000 new jobs whilst supporting business to create new products, open up new markets, improve productivity and become more competitive by March 2019.


Funded by ERDF and delivered by Economic Growth Solutions, the programme aims to provide support for growth focused Manufacturing businesses. Working with small and medium sized companies with less than 250 employees in the West Midlands, East Midlands, Yorkshire and South East regions.


Designed to stimulate the growth of aspiring manufacturing businesses, helping them to identify opportunities for accelerated growth, improvements and team development.


Specialist local Manufacturing Growth Managers, with vast experience of business growth support, are in place to offer a free strategic business review, impartial advice and signposting with the opportunity to access grant funding of up to 35% towards the cost of improvement project requirements (not including training).


The average grant amount is expected to be in the region of £1400 towards the cost of support costing approximately £4000. Applicants have 4 months to complete the support project and claim for the grant at the end of the project with proof of expenditure.
