Specialist provider of services to the letting industry The Letting Partnership is expanding its team to meet the demands of the sector post lockdown.

The business is witnessing a surge in demand for its offer of outsourced client accounting and client money protection, as letting agents redeploy staff to focus on other areas, and recession looms.

Mannie Tupholme joins as Client Accounts Manager and will oversee the day to day management of tasks, people and training on the processing side of the business.

The Letting Partnership has also created two new roles within the business, including Client Induction Lead John Westwood, who will specialise in bringing new clients on and Client Liaison Lead Matt Kemp Smith, who will focus on retaining and relationship building with existing clients.

The company is also recruiting two new apprentices who will report to Tupholme and enable the Client Processing Team to take on additional work. In August, the Financial HealthChecks team will have extra support from new recruit Kayleigh Croft. There has been a strong demand for this online service as many lettings agents and accountants continue to work from home.

Jenny Markham, CEO of The Letting Partnership, said: “We know there will be an increased demand for our services as letting agents look for ways to redeploy staff to focus on other areas, such as driving forward business growth. They will need increased support from us in client accounting and client money protection. During lockdown we spent our time planning for this future as restrictions eased and we could see a recession was on the horizon.

“In this climate agents are more keen than ever to save money through outsourcing, turning to specialists to give them peace of mind that their clients’ money is safe and they remain compliant. The fact that our businesses enjoyed 40 per cent growth last year and that we are expecting another 40 per cent growth this year shows how strong the demand is.

“Our new structure, boosted by new hires, will be exactly what we need to deliver what our clients need, as we take on more business and help agents navigate the intricacies of protecting client money and client accounting. We’re also proud to be taking on apprentices who are currently facing a challenging jobs market.”

The Letting Partnership is the only client accounting company to be accredited by trade association ARLA Propertymark, one of the few government-approved providers for compulsory Client Money Protection (CMP) that was introduced in 2019.
