Caremark (Mid Sussex & Crawley) have a whole team of frontline care workers whose mission is to go ‘above and beyond’ on a daily basis. Always going the extra mile before and during the current pandemic, they provide the highest standards of care and support to vulnerable people living in their own homes, throughout Mid Sussex and Crawley.

Focusing on maintaining clients’ physical and mental wellbeing, care workers spend extra time helping to reduce social isolation, often being the only people clients see. Recently, a resourceful care worker played lively music, dancing with her client who missed his weekly dance class, putting a big smile on his face.

Care workers also regularly put themselves at risk by conducting supermarket and medication trips for their clients.

To help prevent boredom and mental deterioration, especially during the pandemic Caremark have:

  • Made regular wellbeing phone calls between care worker visits which have been very welcome
  • Distributed ‘Activity packs’ including crosswords and wordsearches
  • Made spontaneous acts of kindness such as bringing homemade cake

Caremark (Mid Sussex and Crawley) have been awarded ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, as a frontline social care business, focussing on their key principle of delivering high-quality care and support.
